Following being nominated as the Saxmundham Rotary Club charity partner for this event in 2018, we are delighted to be asked back so we can not only support this fantastic event, but also show off our brand new liveried bloodbike that their very generous donation helped us to purchase.
The Suffolk Show is organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association and is part of their 187 year history. The show is the largest two-day visitor experience in the county. Attracting crowds of tens of thousands over the two days, this year we have been invited as guests on the East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Trust Stand so we can talk to those visiting the stand about how our volunteers support the hospitals in the area.
3,000 Bikes. 4 Hours, One place. We are always there and happy to assist the RMCC with managing this event. Following the 2018 Event the RMCC donated £3,500 to SERV SC, an equal amount to Herts and Beds and, a significant amounts to other deserving charities. This is, without doubt, a very successful event following a lot of hard work by RMCC in organising it. Taking the load of some key positions enables members of the RMCC to concentrate on the organisational aspects of the Event as it progresses. I am looking forward to this year as always.
A little later this year. The EAAA organised Emergency Services Day is held in the Country Park of Ferry Meadows on the western edge of Peterborough. It is usually busy at this event as is the Park generally. The Air Ambulance usually pays a visit. Why not make a weekend of it! If you are into Caravanning, both the Caravan Club and The Camping & Caravanning Club have a site here.
Our Van, Display Trailer and Blood Bikes will be attending this event, along with a number of SERV members..
